Meet Dave.

He’s an olive. He climbed out of the jar in 2019, and tonight he’s running your game night.

Dave picks who’s up, deals the cards and calls people out by name. Dodge a card, lose a round or get caught out, and he puts pits on your tab. When the night’s over, he prints the tab. Fewest pits wins.

Dave, an olive with a pimento cap, waving hello.

Do or Dodge

Do it, or dodge it.

Truths, dares and duels. Dodge one and it goes on your tab.

How it plays

  1. Dave picks who’s up and deals a card: a truth, a dare, a vote, a duel.
  2. Do it, and Dave cracks up a little. Dodge it, and the pits go on your tab.
  3. Make Dave lose it before the last card and the table wins.

Have you, though?

Own up or stay quiet. Dave wants the stories.

How it plays

  1. Dave reads out a Never Have I Ever.
  2. If you have, tap yourself in and take a pit. Dave keeps count.
  3. Sometimes he flips it, has someone point the finger, or makes one of the guilty tell the story.

Dave’s Court

All rise for Dave.

Put your friends on trial for their pettiest crimes. Guilty pays.

How it plays

  1. File real grudges on the docket, or let Dave bring the charges. One of you is on trial, one prosecutes, the rest are the jury.
  2. Twenty seconds for the prosecution, thirty for the defense. Shout Objection if you dare. Then Dave produces the evidence.
  3. Plead guilty, 1 pit. Convicted, 2. Lose your appeal, 3. Acquitted? The prosecutor takes one.

House rules.

  • It’s only points. Pits are never traded for anything, and no card asks anyone to do anything risky.
  • Every card can be dodged. Saying no is always allowed. Nobody at the table should push anyone to answer or dare.
  • Read the room. If a question lands badly, swap the card and move on. Dave won’t mind.
  • Phones stay yours. Phone dares are show, read or reveal. Nobody ever has to send, post or call anything.
  • What’s said at the table stays at the table. Don’t share someone else’s answers without asking.
  • Unhinged is 18+, and only for tables where everyone has said yes to it.

Your crew’s already arguing about who goes first.
